The RPMF is one of the biggest supporters of young talented athletes in the UK, and I actually received my first support grant from them when I was a teenager (quite a long time ago now!). I am so grateful for them deciding to support me with a ‘special grant’ on my road to competing for Great Britain in Malaga 2017.
Northamptonshire County Athletics Association
The NCAA have generously sponsored me in the run up to the 2017 World Transplant Games. I was born and raised in Northamptonshire, and my family home is still in the southern Northants village of Cogenhoe (pronounced Cook-no!). I’m a proud member of Rugby & Northampton AC, and pleased to see I still have an U20 County Championships record over the 100m. Although I now live in South Wales, the county will always feel like ‘home’.
In 2015 I was incredibly lucky to be sponsored by friends and family as I embarked on my journey of competing at the Transplant World Championships in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Three particularly generous sponsors were previous employers Cardiff Met University, the staff at British Athletics, and my athletics club for the past 15 years, Rugby & Northampton AC, who together donated over £1000 to go towards my training and competition funds. I hope by bringing back six gold medals I did them proud!
I am currently looking for sponsors and kit suppliers to support me with training and competition costs in preparation for the 2017 World Transplant Games in Malaga. Transplant athletes are completely self funded, and for the Malaga Games we will also need to cover flights, accommodation, GB kit and all entry fees. Each athlete is expected to raise approximately £1500 per Games.
